TwoStepTable: A Subtly Connected Dining Table

Christian Kim drew inspiration for the TWOSTEPTABLE from the desire to create a table with a minimalistic yet intriguing design. By connecting the apron once in front and once behind the table leg, a subtle detail is added to this dining table. The result is a visually striking piece that effortlessly blends form and function.

What sets the TWOSTEPTABLE apart from other tables is its unique construction. The apron on each side of the table is attached to the front side of one table leg and to the back side of the other table leg on that side. This clever design choice creates an asymmetrical side view from all angles, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the table.

The TWOSTEPTABLE is made using European oak, a durable and high-quality material that enhances the table's overall aesthetic appeal. With its sleek lines and impeccable craftsmanship, this table is sure to be a standout piece in any dining room.

The TWOSTEPTABLE project began in Eindhoven, The Netherlands in May 2012 and was completed in Cologne, Germany in December 2012. It was later exhibited during IMM Cologne in January 2013, where it garnered attention and praise for its innovative design.

This exceptional design has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category. The award acknowledges the TWOSTEPTABLE's outstanding creativity, resourcefulness, and contribution to improving the quality of life.
